An antique English pine cupboard dating to the late 19th century. The unusual upper doors are constructed with diagonal pine boards set within arched frames, giving the piece a distinctive architectural quality we rarely come across.
The cupboard offers generous storage with a large upper cabinet and stationary interior shelf, a central drawer, and a spacious lower cabinet. Simple pine knobs, paneled lower doors, a shaped apron, and layers of natural wear give the piece the warm, timeworn character we look for in English country furniture.
At some point during the cupboard's life, the backboards and boards along the top were replaced.
