A beautifully aged William & Mary chest of drawers, hand-crafted in solid oak during the late 1600s to early 1700s. Pieces of this era are increasingly rare, and this example carries the depth, warmth, and quiet presence only centuries of life can create.
The classic two-over-three drawer configuration features elegant molded, paneled drawer fronts and a richly patinated surface that has developed a deep, warm tone over time. The wooden knobs appear to be later replacements, complementing the piece while maintaining its understated character. Subtle organic wear throughout speaks to its long history and authentic use.
The top two drawers are lined in green felt, now quite worn, adding another layer of story to the interior. The top wood panels show slight warping, consistent with age and early construction methods. There is also a faint musty scent, typical for furniture of this period.
